How to say “Could I have a quieter room?” in Hindi

Ask reception about changing to a room with less noise.

क्या मुझे कोई शांत कमरा मिल सकता है?kya mujhe koi shaant kamra mil sakta hai?

Could I have a quieter room?

Explain the source of the disturbance if that helps.

Use it in three situations

  1. A street-facing room

    क्या मुझे कोई शांत कमरा मिल सकता है?kya mujhe koi shaant kamra mil sakta hai?

Could I have a quieter room?

  2. An early departure nearby

    क्या मुझे लिफ़्ट से दूर कमरा मिल सकता है?kya mujhe lift se door kamra mil sakta hai?

Could I have a room away from the lift?

  3. A room-change request

    इस कमरे में शोर है। क्या मैं कमरा बदल सकता/सकती हूँ?is kamre mein shor hai. kya main kamra badal sakta/sakti hoon?

This room is noisy. Could I change rooms?

What to watch for

Quieter is a comparison; the phrase does not ask for a guarantee of complete silence.

A note on speaking Hindi

These examples generally use respectful आप (aap). Familiar तुम (tum) changes the verb ending, and तू (tu) can sound too intimate or disrespectful in the wrong relationship. Where gender changes a first-person form, choose the version that describes the speaker.

Read the Devanagari alongside the romanization. Romanization is a reading aid rather than an exact description of every sound. Everyday Hindi can use familiar loanwords, while a literal English word order may sound unnatural.
