Mistakes English speakers make with घर

With ghar as a destination, Hindi needs no word for "to". Just say ghar jaana, like English "go home".

Ghar is masculine, so mera and bada take the masculine -aa ending. Nothing in the word itself shows this, so learn it as mera ghar.
