How to say “Is the ticket valid for ...?” in Hindi

Check whether a ticket covers the service, date, or part of a journey you need.

क्या यह टिकट … के लिए मान्य है?kya yah ticket ... ke liye maanya hai?

Is the ticket valid for …?

Name the intended use rather than asking only if the ticket is generally valid.

Use it in three situations

  1. A return journey

    क्या यह टिकट अगली ट्रेन के लिए मान्य है?kya yah ticket agli train ke liye maanya hai?

Is the ticket valid for the next train?

  2. A particular service

    क्या यह टिकट पूरे दिन के लिए मान्य है?kya yah ticket poore din ke liye maanya hai?

Is the ticket valid for the whole day?

  3. Checking a travel date

    क्या मैं इस टिकट से एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन में जा सकता/सकती हूँ?kya main is ticket se express train mein ja sakta/sakti hoon?

Can I use this ticket on the express train?

What to watch for

Ticket conditions can differ; the phrase asks for clarification rather than stating a rule.

A note on speaking Hindi

These examples generally use respectful आप (aap). Familiar तुम (tum) changes the verb ending, and तू (tu) can sound too intimate or disrespectful in the wrong relationship. Where gender changes a first-person form, choose the version that describes the speaker.

Read the Devanagari alongside the romanization. Romanization is a reading aid rather than an exact description of every sound. Everyday Hindi can use familiar loanwords, while a literal English word order may sound unnatural.
