Give gentle feedback naturally in German
Useful feedback names a specific part and suggests an actionable improvement. Acknowledge what is clear, make a tentative edit suggestion, or offer to check a detail together.
Three ways to say it
Dieser Teil ist verständlich. Könnten wir ein Beispiel ergänzen?
This part is clear. Could we add an example?
Identify what works and propose adding a concrete example.
Vielleicht könnten wir die Einleitung kürzer machen.
Maybe we could make the introduction shorter.
Suggest one manageable edit without labeling the whole piece as bad.
Würde es helfen, die Zahlen zusammen zu prüfen?
Would it help to check the numbers together?
Offer a collaborative check when numbers may need attention.
Avoid translating word by word
English 'make the introduction shorter' means edit its length; it does not mean physically manufacture an introduction. The target language may prefer a verb meaning shorten, reduce, or edit rather than a literal 'make'.

Was hältst du von dieser Erklärung?
What do you think of this explanation?

Discussing the length of an introduction
Ist die Einleitung in Ordnung?
Is the introduction okay?
Vielleicht könnten wir die Einleitung kürzer machen.
Maybe we could make the introduction shorter.

A note on speaking German
Use Sie for formal address and du with people you address informally. Könnten Sie …? is a useful polite request. Keep noun capitals and the verb position shown in each complete sentence.
The examples preserve German accents and ß. Read a full sentence before replacing a detail: a subordinate clause can move the verb to the end, and case can change an article or pronoun.
