Correct someone gently naturally in Hindi
A gentle correction focuses on the detail. Mark uncertainty when you are uncertain, check information together, or make a brief factual correction without criticizing the person's ability.
Three ways to say it
मुझे लगता है बैठक गुरुवार को है, शुक्रवार को नहीं।mujhe lagta hai baithak guruvaar ko hai, shukravaar ko nahin.
I think the meeting is on Thursday, not Friday.
Give the date you believe is correct while signaling your current understanding.
क्या हम साथ में वह तारीख देख सकते हैं?kya ham saath mein vah taareekh dekh sakte hain?
Could we check that date together?
Check a disputed or uncertain date together.
बस एक छोटा-सा सुधार: ट्रेन छह बजे चलती है।bas ek chhota-sa sudhaar: train chhah baje chalti hai.
Just a small correction: the train leaves at six.
Introduce one factual correction and immediately give the correct information.
Avoid translating word by word
English 'a small correction' describes the importance or scope of a correction, not its physical size. Keep the conventional introductory phrase and the factual detail together rather than translating 'small' in isolation.

A note on speaking Hindi
These examples generally use respectful आप (aap). Familiar तुम (tum) changes the verb ending, and तू (tu) can sound too intimate or disrespectful in the wrong relationship. Where gender changes a first-person form, choose the version that describes the speaker.
Read the Devanagari alongside the romanization. Romanization is a reading aid rather than an exact description of every sound. Everyday Hindi can use familiar loanwords, while a literal English word order may sound unnatural.
