Why is it el agua if agua is feminine?
Agua is feminine: el agua fría, las aguas. The article switches to el in the singular because agua starts with a stressed a. The gender does not change.
How do I ask for the bill in Spanish?
Say La cuenta, por favor. In much of Latin America a tip is extra and you leave it on the table. In Spain the bill often already includes service.
Is jugo the same as zumo?
Jugo is the Latin American word for juice. In Spain people say zumo. These pages use jugo and note the Castilian form.
