FAQ
Emotions & Descriptions in Korean: common questions
Is 좋다 the same as 좋아하다?
좋다 describes something as good or pleasing. 좋아하다 is an action verb meaning to like. 날씨가 좋아요 says the weather is good; 커피를 좋아해요 says I like coffee.
How do I say I am tired?
피곤해요 is the polite spoken form of 피곤하다. You can omit I when the context clearly points to you.
Do Korean adjectives change for masculine and feminine?
No. Korean does not make adjectives agree with grammatical gender. The ending changes for sentence function, tense, and speech level instead.
